For South African Builders & Contractors
Google Ads Agency
for Construction Companies
We run Google Ads for construction companies, so the enquiries come from homeowners who want an extension quoted and a site meeting booked — not from students, tender hunters and people compiling supplier lists. From R3,500 a month. No lock-in.
Google Ads Certified · In the industry since 2018 · One specialist, not an account manager
Documented Client Accounts
Four client accounts published with their account screenshots, in USD. None of them is a construction account, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. Judge the method, then read the numbers and the reconciliation notes on the results page.
What You Get
Google Ads for construction companies,
run by one specialist.
No junior account manager, no rotating team, no 12-month contract. You deal with Vogien directly, every time.
Tender traffic removed
This is the defining problem in construction. A huge share of South African construction search is tender-related — people hunting for opportunities, not hiring a builder. It is filtered out before it costs you.
Campaigns split by project type
An extension, a paving job and a new build are different tickets, different cycles and different buyers. One campaign called “Construction” means the cheapest project type sets the bid for all of them.
Built for a site meeting, not a click
Nobody commits to a build from a landing page. The conversion is a booked site visit or a call long enough to qualify, and the bidding is fed that — not form volume.
Long cycles measured honestly
A build quoted in March can sign in July. We agree up front how you will report what closed, so the account is judged on work won rather than on a 30-day cost-per-lead figure that means nothing in this trade.
You own everything
Your Google Ads account, your billing, your data. Leave whenever you like and the account, history and conversion data stay with you.
One builder per area
We will not take a second construction client in your service area. Bidding two clients against each other raises both their costs.
Built For Construction Companies
Four kinds of work.
Four different campaigns.
“Construction” is too broad to advertise on as one thing. The first job is deciding which projects you actually want more of.
01 · Best volume-to-value
Renovations & alterations
Kitchens, bathrooms, interior alterations, remodels. The best balance in the trade: enough search volume to be worth bidding on, a ticket big enough to justify the cost per lead, and a decision cycle measured in weeks rather than seasons.
02 · Highest ticket
Extensions & new builds
Room additions, second storeys, cottages, full new builds. Low volume, long cycle, and the largest contracts you will win from search. Judged on site meetings held and quotes accepted, over a measurement window long enough to mean something.
03 · Fastest to close
Paving, boundary walls & outdoor
Paving, driveways, walls, retaining structures, decks and patios. Well-defined, quickly quoted and quickly decided, which makes it the group that keeps cash flowing while the bigger projects are still in deliberation.
04 · Biggest contracts
Commercial & industrial
Shopfitting, offices, warehousing, body corporate and complex work. Lowest volume, longest cycle, highest value per win. Given its own keywords and its own patience, because it will never look good on a monthly report.
Stop Paying For These
The searches that look like
building work and are not.
This is where most construction budgets actually go. Blocked from day one.

construction tenders · tender bulletin · cidb tenders · government tenders · rfq

construction jobs · builder vacancies · construction learnership · artisan salary
People compiling lists, not hiring
top construction companies · construction companies in south africa · list of contractors · cidb register
People buying materials
cement price · bricks for sale · building material suppliers · builders warehouse

Questions
What construction companies ask us.
Why does my account attract so many time-wasters?
Two reasons, and both are fixable. The first is tender traffic — an enormous share of South African construction search is people looking for opportunities rather than hiring a builder. The second is list-building: searches like “top construction companies in Johannesburg” come from students, researchers and competitors. Neither will ever sign a contract, and both are cheap to block.
My projects take months to close. How do you measure that?
Not on cost per lead, which is meaningless when a March enquiry signs in July. We measure cost per qualified site meeting as the leading indicator, then reconcile against work actually won over a longer window. That means you have to tell us what closed — part of the setup is agreeing how.
Should I advertise for new builds or renovations?
Renovations, almost always, if you want the account to pay for itself in the first quarter. New builds are the bigger prize but the volume is small and the cycle is long, so they work best as a secondary campaign funded by a renovation pipeline that is already producing.
Does NHBRC registration help my ads?
It helps your conversion rate rather than your ads directly. Homeowners committing to a large build are looking for reasons to trust you, and registrations, guarantees and completed-project evidence do more for the enquiry rate than any headline. If you have them, they belong on the page the ads point at.
Will you work with another builder in my area?
No. Bidding two clients against each other in the same auction raises both their costs and only one can win the click. Worth asking any agency before you sign anything.
Am I locked in?
No. Month to month, cancel any time, and the Google Ads account stays yours — with all the history and conversion data in it. If we are not earning the fee you should be able to leave without a phone call about it.
