For South African Painting Businesses
Google Ads Agency
for Painters
We run Google Ads for painters, so your quotes come from homeowners and businesses ready to book a repaint — not DIYers pricing tins of paint and looking for colour ideas. Interior, exterior, waterproofing and commercial work, each in its own campaign. From R4,500 a month. No lock-in. You keep your own account.
Google Ads Certified · In the industry since 2018 · One specialist, not an account manager
Documented Client Accounts
Four client accounts published with their account screenshots, returns shown as ratios so they read the same in rand as in dollars. All four are American accounts. None of them is a Painters account, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. Judge the method, then read the numbers on the results page.
What You Get
Google Ads for painters,
run by one specialist.
No junior account manager, no rotating team, no 12-month contract. You deal with Vogien directly, every time.
A campaign per job type
Residential repaints, waterproofing, specialised finishes and commercial each get their own budgets and bids — so low-value searches can’t eat the budget meant for a full exterior job.
Every quote request tracked
Painting converts on calls and forms. We track both, with call-duration filters, so the bidding learns from quotes that turn into work, not colour-idea browsers.
Wasted spend blocked
A negative keyword list built for painting on day one, then extended every week from your actual search terms report.
Weekly optimisation
Reviewed every week, not every quarter. Bids, search terms, ad copy and budget pacing — pushing your cost per signed job down.
You own everything
Your Google Ads account, your billing, your data. Leave whenever you like and the account, history and conversion data stay with you.
One painter per area
We won’t take a second painting client in your service area. Bidding two painters against each other in the same auction raises both their costs.
Built For Painting
Four kinds of painting work.
Four different campaigns.
Most painting accounts run every job through one budget, so the full exterior jobs get outbid by touch-up and colour-idea clicks.
01 · Bread and butter
Interior & exterior repaints
Residential repaints, quote-led and seasonal. The volume base — judged on quotes that turn into signed jobs, with budget paced to the dry painting months.
02 · Highest ticket
Waterproofing & roof coating
Problem-driven work from leaks and damp, higher value than a standard repaint. Its own campaign, because people search a leak very differently to a colour change.
03 · Higher margin
Specialised finishes
Epoxy floors, damp and heritage work, spray and industrial coatings. Niche, higher margin, and worth their own keywords instead of being buried under “painter”.
04 · Biggest contracts
Commercial & body corporate
Complexes, offices and contract repaints. Low volume, high value, long cycle — given its own keywords and the patience a monthly report won’t reward.
Stop Paying For These
The searches that look like
a paint job and are not.
This is where most painting budgets actually go. Blocked from day one.

Questions
What painters ask us.
My quotes go quiet after I send them.
Painting is heavily comparison-shopped, so slow follow-up loses the job to whoever replied first. Ads get the enquiry; what wins it is speed and a clear quote. We also make sure the account favours ready-to-book intent over browsers, so more of the quotes you send are worth chasing in the first place. The audit shows where your enquiries are actually coming from.
How much should I spend on ads?
Enough to still be showing at the moment someone is ready to buy, because that is the part that cannot be faked. A budget that runs out by mid-morning is not a small campaign, it is an absent one. We would rather start you on fewer areas with proper coverage than spread thin and lose every auction that mattered.
How soon do the leads start?
Search ads can serve within a day of going live, so the first enquiries usually come the same week. What takes 30 to 60 days is getting the cost per booked job down — that needs real search-term data and enough conversions for the bidding to learn from.
Do I need a website?
You need a page that loads fast on a phone and puts your number and a quote form where someone can reach you in one tap. That is a lower bar than a full website. If it is the thing standing between you and running ads properly, say so — better to solve it than to buy clicks that land somewhere slow.
Will you work with another painter in my area?
No. Bidding two clients against each other in the same auction raises both their costs and only one can win the click. Worth asking any agency before you sign anything.
Am I locked in?
No. Month to month, cancel any time, and the Google Ads account stays yours — with all the history and conversion data in it. If we are not earning the fee you should be able to leave without a phone call about it.
