For South African Roofing Companies
Google Ads Agency
for Roofers
We run Google Ads for roofing companies, so the quotes come from people with water coming through a ceiling after last night’s storm — not from someone pricing roof sheets at a hardware store. From R3,500 a month. No lock-in.
Google Ads Certified · In the industry since 2018 · One specialist, not an account manager
Documented Client Accounts
Four client accounts published with their account screenshots, in USD. None of them is a roofing account, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. Judge the method, then read the numbers and the reconciliation notes on the results page.
What You Get
Google Ads for roofing companies,
run by one specialist.
No junior account manager, no rotating team, no 12-month contract. You deal with Vogien directly, every time.
Budget that follows the weather
Roofing demand arrives in bursts — the first big rain, a hail run through Gauteng. Budgets and bids get moved into those days instead of being spread flat across a month where nothing is leaking.
Repair and replacement split apart
A leak repair and a full re-roof are different tickets, different urgency and different close rates. Sharing one ad group means the cheap repair clicks spend the money that should have won the replacement.
Retail searches blocked
Half of “roof” search volume is people pricing IBR sheeting, tiles and waterproofing paint at a hardware store. That traffic is filtered out before it costs you.
Call tracking on every lead
An active leak converts on the phone. We track calls with a minimum duration, so the bidding learns from real jobs instead of wrong numbers.
You own everything
Your Google Ads account, your billing, your data. Leave whenever you like and the account, history and conversion data stay with you.
One roofer per area
We will not take a second roofing client in your service area. Bidding two clients against each other raises both their costs.
Built For Roofers
Four kinds of work.
Four different campaigns.
Roofing is the most seasonal trade on this list, and the most commonly run as one flat campaign. Those two facts are why most roofing accounts underperform.
01 · Fastest to close
Leak repairs & emergencies
Active leaks, storm damage, blown-off sheeting, ceilings coming down. The search happens while the bucket is still filling. Own budget, own bids, and enough headroom that a wet week does not exhaust the month’s spend by Tuesday.
02 · Highest ticket
Re-roofing & replacement
Full replacements, re-tiling, sheeting changes, roof structure work. Three quotes and a month of deliberation, often with an insurer or a bond involved. Judged on quotes accepted, never on lead volume.
03 · Steady all year
Waterproofing & coatings
Torch-on, flat roofs, gutters, damp, roof painting. The most reliable non-seasonal revenue in the trade and the group most polluted by people buying a tin of product rather than hiring a contractor — so match types and negatives do the heavy lifting here.
04 · Biggest contracts
Commercial & industrial
Warehouses, complexes, body corporates, factory roofs, asbestos removal. Low volume, long cycle, highest value per win. Given its own keywords and its own patience, because it will never look good on a 30-day report.

Questions
What roofers ask us.
My leads dry up between storms. Can ads fix that?
Not by inventing demand that is not there — nobody searches for a roofer on a dry week. What ads can fix is capturing far more of the demand that does exist when it exists, and keeping a floor of non-seasonal work running underneath it. Waterproofing, gutters and roof painting are searched all year, and most roofing accounts barely bid on them.
Should the budget be the same every month?
No, and this is the single biggest lever in the trade. A flat daily budget across a rainy month means you go dark exactly when the phone should be ringing. We pace budget into the weather and the season instead of pretending demand is even.
I tried Google Ads before and it was a waste of money.
Most roofing accounts we audit are paying for people at a hardware store. “Roof” is a product word as much as a service word, so without a serious negative keyword list a broad account funds sheeting and tile shoppers all month. The free audit will show you exactly how much of your spend went there.
How soon do the calls start?
Search ads can serve within a day of going live, so the first calls usually come the same week — sooner if it rains. What takes 30 to 60 days is getting the cost per accepted quote down.
Will you work with another roofer in my area?
No. Bidding two clients against each other in the same auction raises both their costs and only one can win the click. Worth asking any agency before you sign anything.
Am I locked in?
No. Month to month, cancel any time, and the Google Ads account stays yours — with all the history and conversion data in it. If we are not earning the fee you should be able to leave without a phone call about it.
