For South African Electrical Contractors
Google Ads Agency
for Electricians
We run Google Ads for electrical contractors, so the enquiries come from homeowners who need a CoC to transfer a house, a DB board that keeps tripping, or backup power installed — not from apprentices and people chasing their Eskom bill. From R3,500 a month. No lock-in.
Google Ads Certified · In the industry since 2018 · One specialist, not an account manager
Documented Client Accounts
Four client accounts published with their account screenshots, in USD. None of them is an electrical contracting account, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. Judge the method, then read the numbers and the reconciliation notes on the results page.
What You Get
Google Ads for electricians,
run by one specialist.
No junior account manager, no rotating team, no 12-month contract. You deal with Vogien directly, every time.
Compliance work kept separate
Certificate of Compliance searches are transactional and deadline-driven — a house sale is waiting on it. They get their own campaign so they are never outbid by cheaper, vaguer traffic.
Utility searches blocked
“Electricity” searches in South Africa are mostly people looking for Eskom, their municipality, a prepaid top-up or a load-shedding schedule. That traffic is filtered out before it costs you.
Backup power built as its own line
Inverters, batteries and solar backup are a different sale from a callout — higher ticket, longer decision, form-led. Separate budget, separate ads, separate definition of a conversion.
Call tracking on every lead
Emergency electrical work converts on the phone. We track calls with a minimum duration, so the bidding learns from real jobs instead of wrong numbers.
You own everything
Your Google Ads account, your billing, your data. Leave whenever you like and the account, history and conversion data stay with you.
One electrician per area
We will not take a second electrical client in your service area. Bidding two clients against each other raises both their costs.
Built For Electricians
Four kinds of work.
Four different campaigns.
Most electrical accounts run one ad group called “Electrician”. That is why the compliance enquiries and the R80,000 inverter jobs arrive at the same bid.
01 · Deadline-driven
Certificates of Compliance
CoC inspections and remedial work for property transfers. The best traffic in the trade and the least understood: the buyer, seller or agent has a registration date and cannot proceed without you. High intent, low emotion, and it converts fast when the ad actually says CoC.
02 · Highest value per call
Emergency & fault finding
No power, tripping DB boards, burnt sockets, fault finding after a surge. Decided before the search starts. Own budget, own bids, and bid increases scheduled for after hours when the competition’s office is shut.
03 · Highest ticket
Backup power & solar
Inverters, batteries, hybrid and solar installs, generator changeovers. A considered purchase with three quotes and a fortnight of thinking, so the goal here is a site survey booked — not a phone call, and never a click.
04 · Biggest contracts
Commercial & industrial
DB upgrades, three-phase work, complexes, retail fit-outs, maintenance contracts. Low volume, long cycle, highest value per win. Given its own keywords and its own patience, because it will never look good on a 30-day report.

Questions
What electricians ask us.
I tried Google Ads before and it was a waste of money.
Almost every electrical account we audit has the same leak: no negative keywords for utility searches. In South Africa the word “electricity” belongs to Eskom and the municipalities, so a broad account spends its month on people looking for a prepaid voucher or a load-shedding schedule and reports it as traffic. The free audit will show you exactly how much of your spend went there.
Is Certificate of Compliance work really worth advertising on?
It is the most underrated keyword set in the trade. Someone searching for a CoC has a property transfer waiting on it, a date they cannot move, and no interest in shopping five quotes. It is lower volume than “electrician near me” and it converts at a far higher rate, which is exactly why it deserves its own campaign rather than being buried in a general ad group.
Load-shedding work has slowed down. Is solar and backup still worth bidding on?
Demand is less frantic than it was, which cuts both ways: fewer panic buyers, but also fewer competitors bidding recklessly. Backup and solar are now a considered purchase, so the campaign has to be built for a site survey rather than an instant call — different ads, different budget, longer measurement window.
How soon do the calls start?
Search ads can serve within a day of going live, so the first calls usually come the same week. What takes 30 to 60 days is getting the cost per booked job down — that needs real search term data and enough conversions for the bidding to learn from.
Will you work with another electrician in my area?
No. Bidding two clients against each other in the same auction raises both their costs and only one can win the click. Worth asking any agency before you sign anything.
Am I locked in?
No. Month to month, cancel any time, and the Google Ads account stays yours — with all the history and conversion data in it. If we are not earning the fee you should be able to leave without a phone call about it.
