Google Ads Agency
in Paarl

Paarl searches in Afrikaans first and English second, and its best-paying work sits in packhouses, cellars and cold stores rather than in houses. We build Paarl accounts in the language the town actually uses, aimed at the buyer who actually has a budget. From R4,500 a month. No lock-in.

Four client accounts published with their account screenshots. The returns above are ratios, so they read the same in rand as they do in dollars. All four are American accounts. None of them is a Paarl account, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. Judge the method, then read the numbers and the reconciliation notes on the results page.

Paarl is not a bilingual market.
It is an Afrikaans one with English in it.

That distinction sounds small and it decides everything downstream — which keywords you build on, which language the ad is written in, and which half of the auction you are actually competing in.

Afrikaans leads, English follows

Not a supplementary ad group

In Bellville an English-only keyword list still works and merely leaves money behind. In Paarl it does not work. Loodgieter, elektrisiën, dakwerke, herstelwerk and koelkamer are the primary terms here and the English versions are the secondary ones. That reverses the normal build, and it is the reversal most accounts here have never made.

The buyer with the real budget

Packhouses, cellars and cold stores

The agricultural industry around Paarl does not buy on price, it buys on how fast you arrive. A cold room drifting warm in the middle of a packing run costs more per hour than your whole invoice. Ads that name response time, after-hours availability and the fact that somebody answers at two in the morning will beat ads that name a discount every time.

Paarl is not a Cape Town suburb

Sixty kilometres up the N1 does not make it one

A Cape Town campaign with a radius wide enough to reach Paarl is quoting jobs it will lose money travelling to, and it is doing it at Cape Town bids. Either exclude the town outright or give it a separate campaign with its own bids, its own copy and a callout charge stated where the customer can see it before they phone.

The calendar is agricultural

Harvest sets the demand, not the weather

Demand for refrigeration, electrical and industrial cleaning work tracks the packing season, and the quiet months are when planned maintenance and shutdown work is bought instead. Those are two different campaigns with two different messages, and a flat budget serves the wrong one at the wrong time in both directions.

Suburbs we build Paarl campaigns around: Paarl Central, Courtrai, Northern Paarl, Southern Paarl, Denneburg, Huguenot, Amstelhof, Charleston Hill, Groenheuwel, Mbekweni, Dal Josafat, Klein Drakenstein, Simondium, Val de Vie, Pearl Valley and the Wellington boundary.

The Paarl trades
we build campaigns for.

Two markets share one town: houses in the valley, and industry along the R45 and the railway line.

HVAC & Aircon

Commercial refrigeration and cold storage is the strongest lane in Paarl and almost nobody separates it from domestic aircon. Different search, different buyer, different urgency, and job values that are not in the same range.

Electricians

Three-phase supply, motor control, packhouse and cellar installations at the industrial end, and compliance certificates on a busy in-town property market at the other.

Cleaning Companies

Food-grade industrial cleaning, post-harvest washdowns and hygiene compliance for facilities that get audited. That is a procurement purchase with paperwork attached, not a phone call about a house.

Plumbers

Boreholes, pumps, irrigation and water storage on smallholdings and farms, sitting alongside ordinary geyser and drain work in the older parts of town.

Construction & Renovations

Sheds, packhouse extensions and agricultural buildings on one side, and estate housing at Val de Vie and Pearl Valley on the other. The two share nothing except a keyword or two.

Roofing Companies

Large-span industrial sheeting for packing and storage buildings, plus the ordinary winter leak and waterproofing demand that runs from May to August.

Paarl searches that look like
work and are not.

A farming town with a large seasonal workforce produces one leak far bigger than the others, and it arrives in both languages.

Seasonal work hunting

“seisoenwerk”, “plaaswerk”, “vacancies Paarl”

This is the single largest source of wasted spend in the district. Thousands of people look for seasonal placements here every year and they type the same trade words your customers do. Werk, vakature, seisoen, aansoek, jobs and hiring all belong in the negatives on the first day, in both languages, or your budget becomes a recruitment noticeboard.

Wine route visitors

“Paarl wine route”, “Taal Monument”

Tourism sits over the whole valley, and restaurant, tasting and wedding-venue intent will match against service keywords whenever a farm or landmark name is in the mix.

Agricultural supply shopping

“besproeiingspyp prys”, “pomp te koop”

Farm supply is a retail category here — pipe, pumps, panels, cold-room doors, spares. Those searchers are building a quote for themselves and are not looking for a contractor to install anything.

Schools and rugby

“Paarl Gim”, “Boishaai fixtures”

Very few towns are as thoroughly dominated by their schools as this one. The search volume is enormous, entirely local, and quite happy to attach itself to any keyword carrying the town name.

Every one of these is something we have pulled out of a real account. The free audit tells you which of them your budget is funding right now.

What Paarl businesses ask us.

Should the ads themselves be in Afrikaans, or just the keywords?

In Paarl, the ads too. That is a different answer to the one we give in Bellville, where Afrikaans keywords with English copy works perfectly well. Here the language of the ad is part of whether you are taken seriously, and your own search-terms report will show you the split inside a fortnight.

Can I just widen my Cape Town campaign to cover Paarl?

You can, and it usually costs more than it earns. You inherit Cape Town bids for jobs an hour up the N1, and the account can no longer tell you which of the two markets is paying for itself. Two campaigns cost nothing extra to run and answer that question every week.

Is there enough search volume in Paarl on its own?

For industrial, agricultural and refrigeration work, comfortably. For a domestic-only trade with small job values, it is thinner than the Northern Suburbs and we will show you that in the audit rather than let you find out over three months. Some businesses here are better served by Wellington and Worcester in the same account.

Do industrial buyers really search on Google?

Less than homeowners do, and that is the point. They have suppliers. They search when a supplier let them down or when the usual contractor cannot come out, which is a small number of searches with a very high value each and hardly any competition on them.

Will you take on a second business in my trade in Paarl?

No. One business per trade per town is the rule, and in a market this size it would be obvious within a month if we broke it. Your competitors are welcome to phone; they get pointed elsewhere.

How long am I committing for?

One month at a time, always. No twelve-month agreement, no cancellation penalty, and the account stays registered to you throughout so nothing has to be handed over if you leave.
